Conversation Data

• Messages exchanged with AI Presences
• Conversation history and context
• Feedback and ratings you provide on AI responses

Technical Information

• Device information and browser type
• IP address and approximate location (for security purposes)
• Usage patterns and feature interactions (anonymized analytics)

We use your information solely to provide, improve, and protect our services:

• Creating AI Presences: Using the memories and information you provide to generate meaningful, personalized AI representations of your loved ones
• Improving Conversations: Enhancing the quality and authenticity of AI interactions based on your feedback
• Account Management: Maintaining your account, processing subscriptions, and providing customer support
• Security: Protecting your account and detecting unauthorized access or suspicious activity
• Service Improvement: Analyzing anonymized, aggregated data to improve our platform (never individual memories)

Protecting your memories is our highest priority. We implement multiple layers of security:

Encryption

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 (the latest security standard)
• Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption
• Voice recordings and sensitive media files have additional encryption layers

Secure Infrastructure

• Data is stored in SOC 2 Type II certified data centers
• Regular security audits and penetration testing
• Strict access controls with multi-factor authentication for all staff
• Automated backup systems with geographic redundancy

Access Controls

• Role-based access ensures only authorized personnel can access systems
• All access to user data is logged and monitored
• Employee access to individual user data requires documented justification

We believe you should have complete control over your data. In compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the following rights:

Right to Access

You can request a complete copy of all personal data we hold about you. We will provide this within 30 days of your request in a machine-readable format.

Right to Export

You can export all your memories, conversations, and uploaded media at any time through your account settings. Your data belongs to you.

Right to Correction

You can update or correct any personal information in your account at any time through your profile settings.

Right to Deletion

You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. Upon request, we will permanently delete all your information within 30 days, including all backups.

Right to Restrict Processing

You can request that we temporarily stop processing your data while you verify its accuracy or contest our use of it.

We work with carefully selected third-party services to provide our platform. Each partner is chosen for their commitment to privacy and security:

Firebase (Google Cloud)

We use Firebase for authentication and real-time data synchronization. Firebase is SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 certified. Firebase Privacy Policy

AI Language Services

We use advanced AI models to power conversations with Presences. Your conversation data is processed to generate responses but is not used to train or improve general AI models. All AI processing is subject to strict data handling agreements.

Voice Synthesis Services

Voice samples you provide are processed by specialized voice synthesis services to create realistic voice representations. These samples are stored securely and used exclusively for your Presence. Voice data is never shared with other users or used for other purposes.

Payment Processing

Payment information is handled exclusively by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store complete credit card numbers on our servers.

We retain your data for as long as you maintain an active account:

• Active Accounts: Your data is retained indefinitely while your account is active, allowing you to access your memories whenever you need them
• Inactive Accounts: If your account is inactive for 24 months, we will notify you before taking any action on your data
• Deleted Accounts: Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days, including from backup systems
• Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes)

AlwaysWith is designed for adults (18 years or older) to preserve memories of their loved ones. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If you are creating a Presence for a child who has passed, we handle this information with additional care and sensitivity. Such Presences can only be created and accessed by verified adult family members.

If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@alwayswith.com, and we will take steps to remove such information.
